Silver and plique-a-jour enamel.


Shaped like a cornflower in bloom. Trumpet-shaped footplate with mirror and painted enamel over guilloche pattern. Tribal foliage with green cell enamel. Four stems with leaves at the bottom and inflorescence at the top, three in buds and the midst in full flower with petals in blue turned out.

An ornamental vase of identical stem is illustrated in J. L. Opstad's "Gustav Gaudernack - a European in Norwegian Art Nouveau", page 55. The vase pictured in the book was exhibited at the St. Louis 1904 World Exhibition.
